Privacy notice

This website publishes information and browser-based planning tools. It does not provide user accounts, accept public comments or run advertising pixels. If you contact us, we process the information you choose to send.

Contact messages

The contact form asks for your email address, message and enquiry topic; your name is optional. We use these details to read, investigate and respond to your enquiry, including corrections to our guides. Messages are private and are not published automatically, added to a mailing list or used for advertising.

Cloudflare processes the form request and performs a Turnstile spam check. This check may process technical browser and network information to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

After the spam check, your browser sends your name (if provided), email address, topic and message directly to FormSubmit, which emails the enquiry to our site's admin inbox, hosted by Google. FormSubmit also receives the technical information associated with that browser request, such as your IP address. We do not send it the spam-check token. FormSubmit states that it retains form submissions for 30 days. See its retention documentation, FormSubmit's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.

We retain correspondence while it is needed to handle the enquiry and maintain any relevant correction record. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. To ask about access, correction or deletion of your correspondence, email admin@astroedition.com.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare hosts, delivers and protects this website. Like other web infrastructure providers, it may process technical request data such as IP addresses, device or browser information, referring pages and requested URLs. This processing is used to deliver the site, maintain security and diagnose faults.

Analytics and cookies

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for all visitors to understand aggregate page views and website performance. Its JavaScript beacon measures navigation and performance information. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not collect or use visitors’ personal data, does not track individual visitors across its customers’ websites, and does not record URL query strings.

Cloudflare may also produce aggregated traffic information from requests handled at its network edge. We do not use advertising pixels.

We use Google Analytics only after you accept analytics using the preference controls. It uses analytics cookies to measure page visits and website usage. Google may process technical device, browser and network information. We disable Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals in our tag configuration.

Our page-view events omit URL query strings and fragments, including values in calculator share links. After analytics consent, we also measure clicks on the marked product-offer links in our comparisons, recording the product identifier, destination domain, region and current page without its query string or fragment. These clicks show interest in an offer; they do not establish that a purchase happened. We do not include the merchant link's tracking parameters or calculator inputs in these events.

The analytics preference is stored locally in your browser for up to 180 days. You can reopen Analytics settings at the bottom of any page and reject analytics; this disables collection on the next page load and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies where accessible.

Google Search Console provides aggregated reports about search queries, clicks, impressions and indexing. Its ownership verification adds no visitor-tracking script. Read Google's privacy policy for its processing.

Affiliate links

No tracked affiliate links are currently published. If they are introduced, they will be clearly disclosed. A destination merchant or affiliate network may then process referral information and use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy notice.

Your choices

You can use browser privacy controls to limit referrer information, scripts and cookies. Blocking optional scripts should not prevent access to this website’s editorial content.

Changes to this notice

We will review this notice before adding analytics, newsletters, forms, advertising or other features that change how visitor information is processed. The date above will change whenever the notice is materially updated.
